Over a series of experimental rehearsals, Dylan Spencer-Davidson and Evening Class have collaborated to develop LATELY, a performance exploring the emotional and affective complexities of forming a self-governed group or community. Zooming in on invisible flows of affect, power and desire, LATELY is an attempt to embody and enact the strategies and philosophies of embracing dissensus and difference that EC have developed in their two years of existing.
Dylan Spencer-Davidson works with performance, music and video. His practice is concerned with the mediation and politics of affect, desire and embodiment. His works have been presented in contexts including Studio Voltaire, V&A, Eastside Projects, Art Licks Weekend and Legion TV. He completed a BA in Modern and Medieval Languages at the University of Cambridge and an MA in Communication Art & Design at the Royal College of Art, London.
